FAQ's

Will They Pay is a business-to-business review platform focused specifically on payment behaviour. Businesses can share genuine experiences of working with other businesses, including whether invoices were paid on time, how clearly payment processes were communicated and what the overall payment experience was like. Our aim is simple: to give businesses greater transparency before they commit to working with someone and to give reliable payers the opportunity to build a positive payment reputation.

Yes, all businesses can leave reviews for any business on Will They Pay. Direct reviews from those who have worked with invoice payers before are the main focus of the platform.

Yes. Businesses can sign up to Will They Pay for free. We also offer optional paid plans and additional features for businesses that want access to enhanced functionality.

Most review platforms focus on the experience of consumers buying products or services. Will They Pay is different. We focus specifically on business-to-business relationships and what happens when one business invoices another. Reviews provide insight into real payment experiences, helping businesses understand how others approach invoices, communication and payment before deciding whether to work with them.

No. Will They Pay is not a credit reference agency. Our reviews provide insight into real B2B payment experiences, while credit information can provide a separate view of a company's financial and credit position. Used together, these different sources of information can help businesses build a more complete picture before making commercial decisions.

Will They Pay gives you access to the experiences of businesses that have dealt with an invoice payer before. This can help you identify positive payment histories, potential warning signs and previous experiences before agreeing to work, extending credit or setting payment terms. Will They Pay provides information to support your decision. The final decision about whether to trade with another business remains yours.

Yes. Businesses outside the UK can use Will They Pay. Where an overseas business is not already available on the platform, it may need to be added manually.

Yes. Will They Pay is not limited to incorporated companies. Sole traders and other eligible businesses can also be reviewed and, where necessary, added manually to the platform

Businesses can leave reviews based on genuine B2B transactions and experiences they have had with another business. Reviews should reflect your genuine experience and must comply with our review guidelines.

Yes. Supporting evidence is compulsory when submitting a review to Will They Pay. This helps create accountability and ensures that supporting information is available should a review subsequently be challenged.

Supporting evidence may include invoices, payment records, contracts, purchase orders, delivery confirmations, project completion documents and relevant business correspondence. The evidence should demonstrate a genuine business relationship or transaction connected with the review being submitted.

Supporting evidence is required when a review is submitted, but this does not mean that Will They Pay independently investigates and verifies every statement contained within every review before publication. Evidence is retained so that relevant information is available if a review is subsequently challenged or disputed. Where a dispute occurs, the available evidence can form part of the review and mediation process.

Will They Pay is designed to provide useful information about genuine B2B payment experiences. Requiring evidence helps discourage unsupported or fraudulent reviews and creates greater accountability for the information businesses share on the platform. It also means supporting information is available should a review later be challenged.

Yes. If you have had multiple genuine transactions or experiences with the same business, you can leave more than one review. This is important because payment behaviour can change over time. Multiple genuine experiences can help provide a more representative picture of how a business pays its suppliers, contractors and service providers.

Yes. Reviewers can edit or remove reviews they have submitted.

Absolutely. Will They Pay is not simply about highlighting late or non-payment. We want reliable businesses to receive recognition for paying suppliers, contractors and service providers properly and treating them fairly. Positive reviews help good payers build a payment reputation they can be proud of.

Yes. Will They Pay is about the overall payment experience, not simply whether an invoice was eventually paid. If payment was late, you can share your genuine experience, provided your review is accurate, supported by the required evidence and complies with our guidelines.

Yes. A business does not need to have claimed its Will They Pay profile before it can receive a review. Where appropriate, we will contact the business using the email address supplied by the reviewer to let them know about the review and give them the opportunity to engage with the platform.

If the business you want to review is not currently listed, it may need to be added to Will They Pay. This can include sole traders and overseas businesses. Follow the review process and provide the requested business information so the business can be identified or added where appropriate.

Focus on your genuine business and payment experience. Useful information may include whether payment terms were clear, whether invoices were acknowledged, whether payment arrived when agreed, whether you needed to chase payment and how the business communicated throughout the process. Keep your review factual, relevant and constructive.

Reviews should not contain offensive or abusive language, personal attacks, irrelevant allegations, unnecessary personal information or confidential information that you are not entitled to disclose. Reviews should focus on your genuine business transaction and payment experience.

All 1-star reviews are subject to a seven-day grace period before publication. During this period, Will They Pay contacts the business concerned and gives the parties an opportunity to communicate and potentially resolve the issue. Our aim is not simply to publish negative experiences. Where a genuine payment problem can be resolved, we want to encourage that outcome.

Yes. If the issue is resolved or you no longer want the review to be published, you can withdraw it during the seven-day grace period. You can also contact Will They Pay and ask us to stop the review from going live.

Businesses have the opportunity to dispute reviews they believe are inaccurate or unfair. The business being reviewed can provide supporting evidence explaining its position. Where required, the matter can then be passed to our mediator team, who can consider the information provided and give their overall decision to Will They Pay. This process is designed to ensure that both sides have an opportunity to provide relevant information.

If you believe a review contains false or inaccurate information, you can use the Will They Pay dispute process. You will be given the opportunity to provide evidence supporting your position. Where appropriate, the matter can be referred to our mediator team for further consideration.

No. Requiring evidence from reviewers does not mean that a reviewer automatically wins a subsequent dispute. Businesses being reviewed have the opportunity to challenge reviews and provide their own supporting information. Where necessary, our mediator team can assess the information provided.

Yes. The business being reviewed can see the identity of the reviewer. Will They Pay is designed around accountable B2B experiences rather than unsupported anonymous allegations.

Businesses can dispute up to three reviews per month through the platform's dispute process.

Businesses must register before posting reviews, and supporting evidence is compulsory when submitting a review. The evidence is retained so it is available should the review later be challenged. Businesses can also respond to reviews and use our dispute process where they believe information is inaccurate or unfair. Where appropriate, disputed matters can be referred to our mediator team. These measures are designed to create accountability on both sides of the review.

No. Businesses cannot pay Will They Pay to remove a legitimate negative review simply because they do not like it. Reviews are subject to the same rules and processes regardless of whether the business has a commercial relationship with Will They Pay.

No. Advertising with Will They Pay, purchasing services or having a commercial partnership with us does not provide preferential treatment within the review or dispute process. Partners and advertisers are subject to the same review principles as other businesses on the platform.

A business's overall rating is calculated using the average of the scores it receives through reviews. As more genuine experiences are shared, the rating can develop to reflect the experiences reported by businesses that have dealt with that company.

Claiming your profile gives you greater control over your presence on Will They Pay. You can manage relevant business information, respond to reviews, engage with businesses that have reviewed you and encourage businesses you have dealt with to share their payment experience. For businesses that pay properly, your profile is an opportunity to demonstrate it.

Because good payment behaviour deserves recognition too. Businesses often promote the quality of their products and services, but how they treat the businesses that supply them can be equally important. Positive payment reviews can help demonstrate that your business values its suppliers, contractors and service providers and takes its payment commitments seriously.

This functionality is not currently available, but it is something we intend to introduce. Our aim is to give businesses with strong payment reputations more opportunities to demonstrate that reliability to suppliers, contractors and potential business partners.

Different information displayed on a company profile may therefore originate from different sources.

A Will They Pay review reflects the reported experience of a business that has actually dealt with another business, including aspects of its payment behaviour. A credit report provides financial and credit-related information designed to help assess business risk. Neither tells the whole story on its own. Looking at payment experiences alongside appropriate company and credit information can help businesses make better-informed decisions.
